Bathroom Renovations
A bathroom that looks right, works properly and stays dry for decades.
Bathroom Renovations in Toronto and across Ontario
Bathrooms pack plumbing, electrical, ventilation, waterproofing and tile into a small room that gets wet every day. Most bathroom failures come from what is behind the tile, not the tile itself.
We renovate main bathrooms, ensuites, powder rooms and basement bathrooms, from a simple refresh to a complete gut and new layout. Every wet area gets a proper waterproofing system, plumbing is done by licensed plumbers, and changes to plumbing or layout are permitted where required.
Harborline Sterling Construction Inc. is principal-led. One of our co-founders, Mansoor Alam Khan or Maqsood Mohammed, oversees every project, so decisions get made quickly and you always know who is accountable.
What bathroom renovations includes
Every project is different, but these are the parts of the work we take responsibility for.
Design and layout
Fixture layout, vanity and storage, lighting and finishes, planned around your plumbing so you know which changes are easy and which are costly.
Demolition and repairs
Careful removal, then repairs to subfloors, joists and walls that years of small leaks often leave behind.
Plumbing and ventilation
New supply and drain lines, shut-off valves and an exhaust fan vented outdoors, installed by licensed plumbers and installers.
Waterproofing and tile
A complete waterproofing system under showers and wet areas, then tile set flat, sealed and finished cleanly.
Fixtures, lighting and finishes
Vanities, toilets, tubs, glass shower enclosures, heated floors, lighting and accessories, installed and tested.

How long does a bathroom renovation take?
A full bathroom renovation usually takes a few weeks of work once materials are on site. Ordering fixtures and finishes before demolition keeps that time short.
Do I need a permit for a bathroom renovation?
Replacing fixtures in the same location usually does not need one. Adding a new bathroom, moving drains, or changing walls and structure usually does. We confirm with your municipality.
Can we keep using the house during the work?
Yes. If it is your only bathroom, we schedule the work to keep the time without a working toilet as short as possible, and we tell you in advance.
Can you build a curbless or accessible shower?
Yes. A curbless shower needs the floor recessed or sloped and fully waterproofed, which we plan from the start. See our accessible home renovations.
Do you supply the fixtures and tile?
Either way works. We can source everything, or install fixtures and finishes you choose once we confirm they suit the space.
