Commercial Construction Management
Daily site leadership that protects your budget, schedule and quality.
Commercial Construction Management in Toronto and across Ontario
Construction management is Harborline Sterling on the ground running the build: supervising the site, managing subcontractors, enforcing quality control, holding the schedule and walking every inspection.
Daily site presence is where budgets are actually protected. Catching an error before it is covered up, sequencing trades so nobody waits on anybody, and resolving field questions the same day they come up are what keep a project on track. Clients who want transparency on trade costs and design decisions, with an expert running the site, choose construction management.
Harborline Sterling Construction Inc. is principal-led. One of our co-founders, Mansoor Alam Khan or Maqsood Mohammed, oversees every project, so decisions get made quickly and you always know who is accountable.

How is construction management different from general contracting?
With general contracting, we hold a single contract for the whole build. With construction management, we lead the build on your behalf while you have more visibility and control over trade packages, pricing and design decisions.
Who is responsible for site safety?
Under Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act, the constructor has overall responsibility for safety on a project. We clarify roles in the contract and run a site-specific safety program on every job.
How often will I get updates?
Weekly site meetings and written reports at minimum, with immediate contact if anything affects cost, schedule or quality.
Do you self-perform any work?
Our focus is managing and coordinating qualified trade partners. Where it benefits the project, we can discuss self-performing general labour and carpentry scopes.
How do you control costs?
Competitive trade pricing, careful scope definition, documented change orders and monthly cost-to-complete forecasting.
Do you handle holdbacks and payment under the Construction Act?
Yes. We administer progress payments, statutory holdback and the prompt payment requirements of Ontario's Construction Act.
