Sewers, Watermains and Site Servicing
The underground systems every building and street depends on, installed and tested properly.
Sewers, Watermains and Site Servicing in Toronto and across Ontario
Water, sewer and stormwater systems are out of sight but never optional. They must be installed to grade, tested, disinfected where required and documented, because mistakes underground are the most expensive to fix.
We install and replace storm and sanitary sewers, watermains, service connections, catch basins and stormwater management features for municipalities, developers and private sites. Work follows the owner's specifications and Ontario Provincial Standards, with locates, excess soil management and testing built into the schedule.
Harborline Sterling Construction Inc. is principal-led. One of our co-founders, Mansoor Alam Khan or Maqsood Mohammed, oversees every project, so decisions get made quickly and you always know who is accountable.

Read articleFrequently asked questions
How are new watermains tested?
New watermains are typically pressure and leakage tested, then disinfected and sampled for bacteria before they are connected to the drinking water system, following the owner's and the municipality's procedures.
How are new sewers checked?
Owners commonly require CCTV inspection, and tests such as deflection testing for flexible pipe, before they accept new sewers.
What is Ontario's excess soil regulation?
O. Reg. 406/19 regulates soil that leaves a project site. Depending on the project, it can require soil sampling, tracking of loads and a notice filed in the Excess Soil Registry before soil is moved.
Do you handle dewatering?
Where groundwater must be controlled, we plan dewatering with the project's engineers, including any provincial registration or permit the water volume requires.
Do you service private sites?
Yes. We install water, sanitary and storm services for new buildings and additions, and connect them to municipal systems under the required permits.
